Do you ever feel overwhelmed about everything you are supposed to save for like... retirement, savings, paying off credit cards, owning your own home, taking care of older children, taking care of aging parents, and on and on and on. The the list seems to be never ending. I don't know about you, but lately it seems like my budget has been sqeezed as much as it can be. Groceries seem to continue to rise in price and now here go the gas prices again. Then the media and government says to "Save." Oh wait, "Spend, the economy needs you to spend." You feel like saying,"Just Go Away!" So what do you do about it??? The stress can be unbearable if you let it be. Your sweetheart should be the one you can turn to and be strong for, balance each other out. When he needs to talk and vent, let him and he should do the same for you. Keep it respectful and communicate. Be there for each other. Just hang in there the best that you can and rely on each other. Now is the time to grow closer and stronger. As I heard someone say, "this too shall pass." And it will! If you have any suggestions on how you and your spouse cope with this let us know. It could be very helpful for all of us. |
