Marriages That Last

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that so much negative publicity and time is being spent on the recent date night that the president and his wife had in Paris!

He's the President! He has certain privileges that are his for being the President of the U.S. If he wants to fly to Paris, or New York, or wherever, he can. I think it's great to finally see a Democratic president who is actually faithful to his wife! I know some people didn't end up liking Pres. Bush but one thing you can say is that he was faithful to his wife and family.

I think that speaks a lot for the character of the man. I think President Obama is a great example of how a man should treat his wife. He's not afraid to say he depends on her, she's his best friend and confidant. You can see he truly loves and respects her. And whether you voted for him or not, there are plenty of men that could learn a thing or two from him when it comes to the way he treats his wife.

It's good to see just as it was good to see how President and Laura Bush treated each other.  I feel like the Obamas show more affection in public than the Bushes did but you knew the Bushes loved and respected each other. They also had a very strong marriage. To me, America needs to see this from our presidents.
