... Which Kind of Fireworks??? Rick decided to take today day off and make a nice long weekend for the July 4th holiday. We really don't have any plans other than a bar-b-que on the actual 4th. My kids will be over and we'll grill and have a nice evening watching the fireworks. He and I will probably take the afternoon tomorrow and go do something alone. It's really important to us to take this time when we get a chance. It's a little easier these days to do this last minute because (except for our senior in high school that's still home),all our boys are grown. I know a lot of couples dread when the children start leaving home and especially the last one. I think once our last son leaves next fall it will be hard but I also think it'll be alot of fun to be alone with Rick again. Maybe it's because he and I started having children right away after we were married and never really had that time for very long as a young couple. I don't know, but what I do know is that I plan to have fun, to have uninterrupted quiet time (time in the bedroom?  ), and to enjoy rediscovering each other again as a couple and not as a mom and dad. I look at him and i still see that young man who took my breath away all those years ago! |
