Money and Marriage!
With everything going on with the economy today…
I’ll bet alot of you have some wonderful ideas that we could use on how we can cut our budgets. Sometimes it’s just a few small things. And sometimes we need to really cut out alot of the fun stuff, the wants, etc. I remember when I was about eight or nine years old and my family went to the new big thing in town to get supper. We were all just as excited as we could be because it was a new thing for our town and actually for the country.
It was the place that had the Big Golden arches, McDonalds. All they offered was the small burgers and fries, and of course Coke. I remember thinking we had hit the big time because my mom was so excited that she could just walk up and order the stuff and not have to cook for a change! It was the small things that made a difference. We take going out for granted these days,
It’s not a treat anymore. It’s like an expectation. In our marriages we need to take a look at what the expectations are and what the needs and wants really are. Not in just our budgets but in our relationships with each other. Our relationship with money does affect our relationship with each other. During this hard time financially you have to decide where you will cut and what sacrifices you will make and how this will make your marriage even stronger. I didn’t say it would be easy, but I guarantee it will be well worth it. I’d love to hear some of your ideas on how you were able to cut your budgets.
